So I am a huge fan of a video game called Rock Band. If you haven't played it, stop reading this and go find a copy somewhere to play. It's a great experience.

Anyways, a little game called Guitar Hero: World Tour was announced not so long ago and it's pretty much a direct rip-off of Rock Band. Hey, I understand Activision has to make money too so this move was expected. They're basically taking the Rock Band formula and then adding their own bells and whistles like create-a-song and better drums.

I have a couple problems with this Guitar Hero: World Tour. 1.) It's name. Why in God's name are they still calling it Guitar Hero? I can accept brand recognition but only to a certain extent. To have a game called Guitar Hero but you can play drums or sing as well is just dumb. 2.) It's name again! World Tour....hmm that sounds familiar, oh yeah because it's a gameplay mode IN ROCK BAND. 3.) No new stuff. Okay so there is new stuff but there's nothing innovative, it's just Rock Band with a few more features.

So as you can tell I don't really like Guitar Hero: World Tour. It'll probably be a decent game but it's just such a copy of an already great game but hey competition drives the market and now I have something to look forward to.

That's right, Rock Band 2 was just announced and boy am I happy.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking at the book for a long time now & just haven't gotten it yet. I thought I would ask & that was a great review.

See what you can make by putting 'in my pants' at the end of a song title. Give the artist's name too, so we know it's a real song. I have an absolute unbeatable gem, and maybe if someone gets that they'll be best answer. Or maybe you can do better than me.
